We rescued our cat only a few months before needing to leave her for our holiday. She is a nervous cat who takes time to come around to people but the staff at Carols really put me at ease. I was allowed to view the caterry which is away from the dogs and very cosy. I rang to check during my holday and they reassured me that she had settled in fine. When we picked her up she seemed very happy. I couldn't recommend them enough and wouldn't go anywhere else.

It was my dog Birdys first experience staying in a kennel. He is 13 years old and he absolutely loved it. The staff were so kind and attentive to his needs. They took him for walks, let him play with the other dogs after ascertaining which dogs he was bonding with and gave him plenty of play time splashing about in water. He was free to roam around the garden and the kitchen like he would at home and didn't have to be locked up in an enclosure or kennel. I think he still misses everyone there. Thank you Carols Kennels for looking after my dog so wonderfully. I couldn't recommend the kennels enough.

I've used this place for my dog for some years. Very caring staff, my dogs well looked after and dietary requirements met. The dogs are walked daily. If you don't want your dogs to mix the staff honour that. Mine mix and have fun, it's their break from us. I forgot their bedding this time, most upset but the kennels said no problem they would provide a duvet for them.

Outstanding. Our cat Freud spent Christmas and New Year with Carol and her team. A family emergency meant he needed to stay a little longer. Carol helped sort this out and gave constant reassurance that the boys were OK. She has been such a support to both myself and my mum as her cat is also staying at the kennels. What a fantastic place for your much loved dog to holiday! Fudge has been coming here for 7 years as did my dog and my parents dog before him. They are such a wonderful group of staff, so friendly and caring and you know your dog is in good hands from the minute you arrive until the time you pick them back up. Fudge knows when he is lucky enough to be going to the kennels and gets so excited from the minute we turn off the main road and is normally in a state of frenzy by the time we pull up. The minute the door is opened he’s gone to be with his friends both humans and canines without a backward glance. He has such a wonderful time playing with the other dogs that he is absolutely shattered when I pick him up and sleeps for hours. Cannot recommend the kennels highly enough and would never go anywhere else!!!

After a local recommendation we trialled our Billy at Carol’s Kennels – he loved it! Since then we have left our sheltie twice a year for the last 9 years and he always comes back happy, healthy and shattered (in a good way). The staff all know Billy and treat him like their own with lots of cuddles. We would thoroughly recommend Carol’s Kennels and we know Billy would if he could talk!
